Ready to order?
If you are a self-managed or plan-managed NDIS participant, simply click Shop Now to add your items to the cart. At checkout, select Manual Payment (Bank Transfer). Once your order is submitted, we’ll send an NDIS-compliant invoice to you or your Plan Manager. Your order will be processed and shipped once payment has been received.
How We Support NDIS Families
At Backpack Buddy, we’re all about helping kids (and their families) feel confident and capable in their daily lives. We know many of our customers are NDIS participants, and we want to make it as easy as possible for you to access our products using your NDIS funding.
While we are not an NDIS registered provider, we can supply our products to families who are self-managed or plan-managed.
If your NDIS plan is NDIA-managed, unfortunately, we are unable to supply products to you at this time.
Who Can Purchase Using NDIS Funding?
You can purchase Backpack Buddy products using your NDIS funding if your plan is either:

Plan-managed
Our products are generally claimable under your Core Supports – Consumables budget or Assistive Products for Recreation, depending on your child’s plan.
If you’re unsure, we recommend checking with your Plan Manager or Support Coordinator.
How to Order Using NDIS Funding (Manual Payment)
We offer a Manual Payment Option (Bank Transfer) so NDIS participants can easily place their order and pay once their Plan Manager approves it.
Here’s how it works:

Add your items to the cart and proceed to checkout.
You can complete your purchase online without paying upfront. -
At the payment step, select “Manual Payment (Bank Transfer)”
This lets you place your order without using a card or making immediate payment. - You’ll receive an order confirmation email with your total and our bank details.
- We’ll also issue an NDIS-compliant invoice which you (or your Plan Manager) can use to process payment through your NDIS plan.
- Once payment is received, we’ll dispatch your order.
Important Notes:

Orders will not be shipped until payment has been received.

If you are plan-managed, please forward the invoice to your Plan Manager as soon as possible.

If you are self-managed, you can use the invoice to claim your funds and transfer payment manually.

Can I use my NDIS funding to purchase Backpack Buddy?
Yes!
If you are self-managed or plan-managed, you can use your NDIS funding to purchase Backpack Buddy products. Our products can typically be claimed under your:
- Core Supports – Consumables or;
- Assistive Products for Recreation categories.
Are you an NDIS registered provider?
No, we are not an NDIS registered provider.
This means we can only supply products to:
- Self-managed participants
- Plan-managed participants
We are unable to supply to NDIA-managed participants at this time.
How do I order using my NDIS funding?
We offer a Manual Invoice Option.
Here’s how it works:
Complete our NDIS Order Form.
We will email you or your Plan Manager an NDIS-compliant invoice.
Once payment is received, we will dispatch your order.

What information do I need to provide?
When completing the NDIS Order Form, we will ask for:
- Participant’s Full Name
- NDIS Number (optional)
- Plan Management Type
- Delivery Address
- Contact Details
- Plan Manager’s Details (if applicable)
- Product Selection
How long will it take to receive my order?
Once we receive payment from your Plan Manager (or from you if you are self-managed), your order will be processed and dispatched within 2-3 business days.
Can you invoice my Plan Manager directly?
Yes! If you are plan-managed, you can choose to have the invoice sent directly to your Plan Manager.
Just provide their details in our NDIS Order Form, and we’ll handle the rest.
What happens if I’m NDIA-managed?
Unfortunately, we are unable to supply products to NDIA-managed participants, as we are not a registered NDIS provider.
You can still purchase from us personally, but you won’t be able to claim the cost from your NDIS plan.
